  • 23/02/1973

    Incorporation of the Company under the name “KARMOR HELLAS Graphite Products Manufacturing Company Limited Liability Company” and partners the French LE CARBONE LORRAINE SA, the British MORGANITE CARBON LTD, and the Greek AGET HERACLIS and YIOI G.I.TSATSOU & SIA EE. Badge title: “KARMOR GREECE LTD”. The name CARMOR is an abbreviation of the names of the first two partners – “CAR-” from CARBONE and “-MOR” from MORGANITE – who offered the know-how and mechanical equipment. The headquarters of the Company is at N. Faliro Street, no. 31 in Agios Ioannis Rentis, Attica. The administrator is the French LE CARBONE LORRAINE SA.

    The British MORGANITE CARBON LTD transfers its share to the parent THE MORGAN CRUCIBLE COMPANY LTD.

    The company YIOI G.I.TSATSOU & SIA EE transfers its share to AGET HERACLIS.

    Establishment of the Company under the name “CARBON LORRAINE GREECE Anonymous Industrial Company for the Production and Sale of Coal and Graphite Products” subsidiary of the French LE CARBONE LORRAINE SA and following the acquisition of the Greek “STELLA PAPADOPOULOU EPE” Company for the manufacture and sale of carbon brushes. Distinctive title: “CARBONE LORRAINE GRECE S.A.” The headquarters of the Company is at 6 Pravio Street in Athens.

    Conversion of the Company “KARMOR GREECE Limited Liability Company” into “KARMOR GREECE Limited Company”. The partners’ corporate shares are converted into shares.

  • 09/01/1997

    Transfer of the shares held in CARMOR HELLAS SA by the Greek AGET HERACLIS to the French LE CARBONE LORRAINE SA.

  • 03/11/1997

    Transfer of the shares held in CARMOR HELLAS SA by the British THE MORGAN CRUCIBLE LTD to the French LE CARBONE LORRAINE SA.

  • 03/12/1999

    Merger of CARBONE LORRAINE GREECE SA with CARMOR HELLAS SA with absorption of the latter from the former. At the same time, the headquarters of the Company is transferred from 6 Pravio Street in Athens to 31 N.Falirou Street in Agios Ioannis Rentis, Attica. In this way, a unique and 100% branch of the French LE CARBONE LORRAINE SA is formed in the Greek market: “CARBONE LORRAINE GRECE S.A.”.

    With the arrival of the new millennium, CARBONE LORRAINE GRECE SA begins to strengthen its commercial activity in the Balkans and Cyprus, mainly with products and services in the fields of Electrical Applications and High Temperature Applications.

    The name of the Company CARBONE LORRAINE GRECE SA changes to “MERSEN HELLAS ANONIME INDUSTRIAL COMPANY FOR PRODUCTION AND SALE OF COAL AND GRAPHITE PRODUCTS” and the new distinguishing title is “MERSEN Hellas S.A.”. The change of the name of the branch is due to the change of the name of the Group from CARBONE LORRAINE to MERSEN. Essentially, this is a change in the communication profile of the Group only, while the industrial and commercial activity remains the same.

    Due to the prolonged financial crisis that has been developing in Greece since 2010, the MERSEN Group, in order to reduce the financial risk, wishes to withdraw from the capital of MERSEN Hellas S.A. while ensuring the sustainability of the Unit. The solution lies in the assumption of the Company’s capital by its experienced managers. The MERSEN Group ensures the continued provision of know-how and commercial coverage.

    50 years of leading presence in Greece and strong commercial activity in the Balkans and Cyprus, both in the Electric Power and Advanced Materials sectors, are being completed. The Company modernizes its brand in order to express its timeless commitment to innovative construction work and sustainable development and always with the know-how and commercial support of the MERSEN Group. The new name will be “NUVIMEK ANONYMOUS INDUSTRIAL COMPANY FOR THE PRODUCTION AND SALE OF COAL AND GRAPHITE PRODUCTS” and the distinctive title “NUVIMEK S.A.”. The headquarters, always at N. Faliro Street, no. 31, Agios Ioannis Rentis.
